#Coronavirus: #Delhi records highest addition of fresh cases on Sunday

Delhi on Sunday recorded its highest-one day addition of new cases at 23, taking the total number of patients in the city to 72, according to the city-state’s latest health bulletin.Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s government did not give details on the new cases.

Out of the 72, five have been discharged while two have died. Among the 64 active cases, 45 are admitted at Lok Nayak Hospital, Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Safdarjung Hospital and All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Jhajjar.The remaining 19 are admitted in other hospitals, including private ones, as per the government bulletin.Over 2,000 samples have been tested so far, out of which reports for 369 are awaited.

So far, 1,079 cases have been confirmed in India, of which 96 have recovered while 27 have died.Sunday recorded the highest number of fresh cases being confirmed in India as well, with 155 new additions, while eight deaths were recorded.The entire country is on a three week lockdown announced on Tuesday by prime minister Narendra Modi as the country battles to curb the spread of the epidemic.
